Exam Conducting Body: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Joint Admission Board (JAB)
Eligibility: Only top 2,50,000 rank holders from JEE Main 2025 across all categories are eligible. Candidates must have passed Class 12th or equivalent in 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
Exam Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT) for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Exam Pattern: JEE Advanced includes two compulsory papers. Each paper consists of 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The pattern may include MCQs, numerical value questions, and match-the-following types. The marking scheme includes full, partial, and negative marks.
Participating Institutes: All 23 IITs including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and more. Other institutions like IISc Bangalore and IISERs may also accept JEE Advanced scores for admission.
Reservation: As per Government of India rules – GEN-EWS (10%), OBC-NCL (27%), SC (15%), ST (7.5%), PwD (5% horizontal).
